(KMOV.com) – Police said they arrested a second suspect for allegedly kidnapping a woman and attempting to rob a jewelry store in south St. Louis.

Corey Foster, Tyrone Williams, and one other man are accused of carjacking a 64-year-old woman and tying her up before attempting to rob Robinson Jewelry Store on Chippewa. The owner of the store shot at the men, scaring them off. The suspects then allegedly used the woman’s car to getaway.

 

Williams has already been arrested and charged. Police are still looking for the third suspect.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A man suspected of an abduction, carjacking and attempted robbery of a jewelry store was arrested Monday.

Tyrone Williams, 22, is one of three suspects sought in last week's alleged crime.

On Monday, December 22, three men allegedly carjacked a 64-year-old woman, tied her up and used her vehicle as the getaway car in an attempt to rob the Robinson jewelry store on Chippewa in South St. Louis.

The burglary attempt was foiled when the owner of the jewelry store pulled out his own gun and began shooting at the suspects, who then fled.

The woman was eventually able to escape and was not seriously hurt.

Tyrone Williams is charged with Robbery 1st, 4 counts of Armed Criminal Action, 2 counts of Attempted Robbery 1st, Property Damage 1st and Kidnapping.
