ST. LOUIS, Mo. ( -- Six people have been killed in downtown St. Louis since October, the most recent murder taking place on Sunday, when 19-year-old Bobby Christman was killed in an armed robbery.

Following Christman's homicide, St. Louis City Police Chief Sam Dotson said he will focus more manpower on the downtown area to prevent future killings.

"We will have additional officers [and] see them more downtown," Dotson said.

Chief Dotson said more police officers should be seen downtown by the end of the week.
