WINFIELD, Mo. (KMOV.com) - A Lincoln County man has been accused of multiple years of abuse on his stepson.

Forty-year-old Robert James Davis, Jr., of Winfield, is accused of throwing his 14-year-old stepson down a flight of stairs and choking him until he couldn't breath.

The teen says Davis has punched him repeatedly, beaten him with a leather belt and told the boy he should "kill himself."

Davis is also charged with failing to register as a sex offender for a statutory rape conviction.

An investigation into the situation is under way.
