EAST ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police in East St. Louis have arrested a suspect for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of a 46-year-old man on Tuesday. 

Police have arrested 43-year-old  Normal Travis who has been officially charged with first degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed 46-year-old Stephen Mosley on Tuesday. Travis is currently in the St. Clair County Jail.

EAST ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police in East St. Louis asked for the public’s help locating a “person of interest” in a homicide that took place Tuesday and have since located and arrested the suspect for his alleged involvement.

Police said they responded to a report of a man down in the 700 block of North 69th Street in East St. Louis around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon.  Once of the scene, they found Stephan Mosely, 46, deceased on with an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators determined Mosely had been speaking with subjects in a pickup truck prior to the shooting.  One of the people in the truck shot Moseley, police said, and then fled the scene.  Police later found the vehicle but asked for the public’s help finding Norman Travis, Jr., 43.
