WARRENTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Authorities are searching for a suspect who robbed a bank in Warrenton, Missouri Tuesday morning.
A man robbed the American Bank around 10:30 a.m., police say. The man approached one of the tellers asking about cashing a check and moments later demanded money from the teller's drawer.
The teller complied with his demand. The man then became agitated because the teller was not moving fast enough and implied that he had a gun, although he did not display a weapon.
Authorities say the suspect fled on foot following the robbery and was last seen walking on North Service Road.
The suspect is described as a 45-year-old white man, roughly 5-foot-8 and 135 pounds. The suspect was wearing a maroon stocking cap, dark puffy coat, baggy blue jeans and white tennis shoes at the time of the incident.
