KMOV.com) – A server at the Macaroni Grill in Brentwood said management encouraged employees to sell as many gift cards as possible, even days before the chain announced it was leaving St. Louis.
Anyone with a Macaroni Grill Gift card can convert it to a Joe’s Crabshack or Brickhouse Tavern gift card by calling 713-366-7640. Both restaurants are owned by Macaroni Grill’s parent company.
Macaroni Grill released the following statement Wednesday:
“It’s always a difficult decision for a restaurant to close its doors. We regret that our locations in the St. Louis and Columbia markets were closed and will honor every gift card we sold to the satisfaction of our customers including exchanging for gift cards to local Joe’s Crab Shack and Brick House Tavern + Tap restaurants. Anyone holding a Romano’s Macaroni Grill gift card is encouraged to get in touch with our guest relations department immediately for information on what to do.
A dedicated email box has been set up for Missouri Guests at firstname.lastname@example.org or they can call (713) 366-7640.
We are working to reach out to each individual Guest personally with the goal to resolve their situations within 3-5 business days, so we ask for everyone’s patience during this time. Again, we apologize for any confusion this situation may have caused and thank our Missouri Guests for their patronage.”
