(HockeyStL) - St. Louis Blues forward T.J. Oshie has been named the first star of the week according to the National Hockey League.
Oshie lead the league with five goals and shared the league lead with seven points a week ago, as the Blues won two of four games against the Colorado Avalanche, Nashville Predators, Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks.
Oshie collected an assist in a 3-0 win over the Avalanche Dec. 29. He then scored in back-to-back losses to the Predators and Ducks before registering his second career hat trick Saturday in a Blues 7-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks.
It was a big week for Oshie who played in his 400th career game for the Blues Tuesday against the Predators and recorded his 100th career goal with his hat trick Saturday.
Oshie joins Vladimir Tarasenko, Jori Lehtera and Jake Allen as the only Blues' to accomplish the feat this season.
