CHICAGO (AP) -- Chicago police say thieves using a minivan as a battering ram crashed into a Best Buy store in Chicago and made off with several items.
Police say the minivan crashed into the front window of the store in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood just before 5 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities say several people jumped out of the van, grabbed items and left the van behind as they ran away.
Police did not immediately have any information on whether the van had been stolen as were some of the other vehicles used in so-called "crash-and-grab" burglaries in the city in recent months.
No arrests have been made, and police did not say if they suspect the thieves were tied to the string of similar burglaries in and around the city.
