More storms roll into News 4 viewing area; cool temps to follow

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – Showers and storms continue to roll into the St. Louis area after severe storms passed through Thursday.

Storms rolled into the St. Louis metro area Wedsneday night and into Thursday morning before a break. Severe storms passed through in the afternoon and evening.

There were several reports of downed trees, tree limbs and wires in Jefferson County and St. Louis County Thursday afternoon. There was also a report of lightning striking a power line near a home in Frontenac.

Rain is expected to exit the area before daybreak Friday morning before temparatures drop in the afternoon. The high Friday is expected to be in 60s. Saturday, the high will be in the 50s.
