(KMOV) -- Major Case Squad detectives are investigating after a woman was shot to death in Cahokia Friday morning.

Police say they found 45-year-old Cassandra Holman shot in her home after they responded to a call for shots fired  in the 100 block of Kenneth around 3:50 a.m.

Authorities have not released details on what led to the shooting, but they do say Holman's children were home with her when she was murdered. Investigators do not believe her children were involved in the murder.

News 4 has learned someone else was shot, but police said that person survived.

Police released photos of two people they believe to be connected to the shooting. If you have any information, call Cahokia police at 618-337-9505.
