(KMOV) – Washington, Mo property owners who display oversized political signs in their yards are being notified to remove them.
City Administrator Jim Briggs said letters went out to three homeowners notifying them of their signs, saying it violates the city’s sign regulations.
“They are violating city ordinance and they need to take them down,” Briggs said. According to Briggs, the issue isn’t what’s on the sign, but the size of the signs.
Three signs encourage voters to vote no on the city’s annexation plan and the fourth sign is for a candidate running for a county office in the primary.
