(KMOV.com) – A store clerk is in custody for allegedly shooting a cook in north St. Louis late Saturday night.
According to police, the suspect, a clerk for the Northway Market in the 5590 block of W. Florissant, and the market’s cook got into an altercation around 10:30 p.m. Authorities say the clerk shot the 45-year-old cook in the leg.
The male victim was taken to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Police took the 35-year-old suspect into custody without incident. Police say a gun was recovered at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
