Police partner together to offer military-styled camp

(KMOV) – Metro East police are offering a military-styled camp as a way to get kids on the right track.
The camp is held at Principia College in Elsah, Ill. and is for kids are already in the court system, or those having problems dealing with authority.
The week-long camp is offered by the Illinois State Police and works with local police, sheriff’s departments and the National Guard in the hopes of giving kids a chance to change their lives for the better.
The camp includes military style drills, exercises, team building and life skills.
Only 60 kids will be accepted to attend the camp which runs from July 13-19.
