FBI, police look for suspect after woman abducted outside Champaign mall

 CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Police in Champaign, Illinois issued a warrant for Eduardo Guerro Cortez for aggravated battery after they say he abducted a woman outside a mall.

Eduardo Guerro Cortez was last seen in a red 2002 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup truck, with Illinois license 92502H. It has a silver tool box in the bed of the pickup truck and aluminum rims, according to a release on the Champaign Police Department's website.

He is described as a 25 year-old Hispanic male, 5’5” tall, and weighing approximately 145 pounds. His last known address was reported to be in the Houston, Texas area. He was last seen wearing a red hat, a t-shirt with red, white, and brown horizontal stripes, and long blue shorts.  Eduardo is believed to be living in Texas, but did live in Rantoul, IL several years ago.

Police said Cortez abducted Monica Ramirez, 19, outside the Market Place Mall Wednesday.  The FBI has been called to help investigate.

A second suspect is also being sought by police. He is described as a Hispanic male with short hair, and was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue shorts. It was reported that he was armed with 12″ black knife.
