(FootballStL) - The Rams officially signed all 11 of their draft picks following Thursday’s OTA practices.
There is little drama in the signing of draft picks since the league instituted the system with players getting paid based on where they were picked in the draft. Jeff Fisher was not expecting any problems getting the new class signed.
“With the new rookie cap and everything, it's really not difficult to get the deals done," Fisher said.
Among the players signing their first NFL contract was cornerback Lamarcus Joyer, a second round pick from Florida State. Joyner is very small by NFL standards. He’s just 5’8”, but said his lack of height has never been a problem on the football field.
“I see no size,” said Joyner. “When I’m on the football field I don’t walk up to a guy a say ‘boy, he’s a big guy’. I say he’s a receiver, and he must be stopped. There’s no secret to do it but to do it.”
