Green Dinner Party

Resources for “It’s Easy Being Green Dinner Party”:
By Kelly Spencer, The Social Affair

1. Tablecloth - Started with a solid brown tablecloth

2.  Runner - Leftover Green Gross Grain Ribbon I used at Christmas.  I
purchased additional coordinating ribbon from Hobby Lobby for
$1.99/roll.  I will later use it to wrap Birthday presents.

3.  Placemats - I used burlap for the place mats (If you don’t have
any lying around, you may also purchase it from Hobby Lobby or any
fabric store)

4.  Centerpiece - Rustic Pots for Herbs – $3.50  The Bug Store  4474
Shaw Boulevard, Saint Louis - (314) 773-9251

5.  Potted Herbs  - Bowood Farms  4605 Olive Street Saint Louis, MO
63108 - (314) 454-6868  (The only place you can purchase potted herbs
off season in St. Louis)

6.  Vintage Spoons in Herbs – I used wonderful vintage spoons to mark
my herbs.  He also creates custom orders.   You could use them as your
place card and have your guests name hammered in to them.  Fabulous
reuse of an old spoon! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Hammermann

7.  Flour Sacks Towel Napkins/Place cards – You can purchase a pack of
12 from Sam’s Club for $11.48

8.  Place Card Design – HP Iron-On Transfers from Target $11.99 (You
create your design on the computer, print it out on the transfer sheet
and iron-on your towel.  Directions are included with the sheets.  You
can make 12 towel out of the 6 sheets in the package.)

9.  Another Place Card Idea – I keep every “Thank You” card sent to
me.  I cut out the front of the card in a unique shape using a cookie
cutter, punched a hole through the top, added a ribbon and wrote my
guests name on the back.  I then hung it on the branch of a potted
herb and placed it in front of the place setting.  The potted herb
could be your guest “take-away” as well as their place card.
