(KMOV) -- Shot dead for a cell phone and wallet.

St. Louis police say they've run out of leads to find Steven Hunt's killer.  Police say someone killed the 42-year-old in his O'Fallon Place apartment in November.

Hunt's family is teaming up with CrimeStoppers to offer a $2,000 reward for information leading to the killer's arrest.

"Steve was a lovable person, one who always tried to do for anyone he came in contact with," Roger Hunt, Steve's brother, says.  "Someone knows something.  A lot of times people are just afraid to come forward."

The family hopes if someone's conscience doesn't bring them forward, a cash reward will.

Steven Hunt leaves behind two children and a grandchild.
