(KMOV) – Slick sidewalks and icy parking lots created lots of problems at Lindenwood University on Thursday, and students say the school needs to do a better job clearing the snow.
Lindenwood says it’s had no reports of injuries since the storm hit on Monday. But when News 4 visites the campus Thursday afternoon, it became clear why some students were concerned about snow removal.
Students say the stairs are icy and dangerous.
About 5,000 students attend LIndenwood and most of them live on campus.
Classes were called off for two days because of the snow storm, but residence and dining halls remained open.
The University says all week, crews have been treating parking lots, sidewalks and stairs. It also says a dozen full-time workers, plus several work-study students continue to remove snow and treat icy spots.
It advises students to take it slow as they make their way around campus.
