(KMOV) - With more than a foot of snow on the ground in Troy, it looked like a ghost town Wednesday. Because of all the snow, many businesses were closed. Others, like gas stations and local restaurants, opened later than normal.
The main roads including Highway 47 and Main Street in downtown historic Troy didn't cause problems for drivers. However, side streets and neighborhoods were covered as people waited for plows to get to them.
Cars remained buried underneath snow in their own driveways, and piles of snow, several feet high, block many streets.
