COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- The winter blast that hit Columbia with heavy snow on Tuesday means an unplanned winter break of at least two days on the University of Missouri campus.
Classes have been canceled Wednesday, a second straight day of closing. Chancellor Brady Deaton says a decision will be made next week on whether to make up the missed time.
Campus dining halls, the student rec center and the student union will remain open along with the university's several local hospitals.
An announcement on possible Thursday closings will be made by 4 p.m. Wednesday.
