(KMOV) – Riders on three different MetroLink trains were evacuated after losing power, leaving commuters stranded.
Ice covered the line that provides power to light rail, and the ice on some of those lines cause the trains to lose power.
The biggest problem happened on the Shrewsbury line around 5:30 Monday evening. A train lost power on a bridge in Brentwood and was stuck on the bridge for an hour and a half to two hours.
Metro was not sure if the train had working heaters.
It’s unclear how many passengers were on the train, but during normal traffic, Metro says there are usually between 120 to 150 people on board.
