CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -- Jacksonville State won for the first time in two months, defeating Southeast Missouri 65-56 in overtime on Thursday to snap a 14-game losing streak.

Nick Murphy led the Gamecocks (3-18, 1-9 Ohio Valley) with 19 points, including eight in the overtime period. Stephen Hall and Jeremy Bynum added 13 each, while Brice Jenkins had all five of his points in OT, including a 3-pointer that gave Jacksonville State a 56-48 lead with 1:21 remaining.

Cameron Butler had 16 points for Southeast Missouri (5-16, 4-7), which lost its fifth straight game. Lucas Nutt and Anthony Allison added 13 each.

The Redhawks never trailed in regulation but were forced into overtime when Jacksonville State's Brian Williams hit a layup with 8 seconds left to tie the game at 45.

It was the first victory for the Gamecocks since a 64-56 win over South Dakota on Nov. 27.
