(KMOV)— Police took five men into custody after a police pursuit in north city Wednesday afternoon.

City police say the pursuit began in Ferguson when police were trying to pull over a vehicle for a traffic related stop. The officers in the car then received a 911 call for shots fired at a US Bank located at Airport and Florissant Roads. The vehicle they were trying to pull over matched the description from the call.
The pursuit began and went through Ferguson, and eventually went onto I-270, going against traffic.
According to authorities, the suspects rammed into two Ferguson police cars during the chase and displayed a weapon.
Police eventually stopped the car by using drop sticks on I-70 near Shreve. The highway was closed at the intersection while the men were taken into custody. They are wanted for assault on a law enforcement officer.
Officials say shots were fired at police. One officer has reportedly been injured, but not from a gunshot.
