(KMOV) – Police charged three men on Monday in connection to an armed robbery that happened in Collinsville over the weekend.
The robbery took place shortly after midnight in the 1100 block of Apache Street, police say.
While officials were responding to the victim’s 911 call, a Collinsville police officer spotted and stopped the suspect vehicle after he saw it traveling the wrong way on a one-way street.
Twenty-four-year-old Willie Thomas, 23-year-old Anthony Williams and 24-year-old Quran Phillips were all inside the vehicle, and were arrested after being identified.
A record check revealed that Thomas was a fugitive, and was wanted in Mississippi for armed robebrt, aggravated assault and kidnapping.
Thomas is being held without bond on fugitive charges.
All of the suspects were arrested and charged with armed robbery, possession of stolen firearms, and illegal drug possession. With the exception of Thomas, the suspects are being held on $200,000 bond.
