ST. LOUIS (KMOV) –- A 21-year-old man has been charged with two counts of unlawful weapon use and resisting arrest after an officer-involved shooting in south St. Louis on Tuesday night. Authorities said the shooting happened around 9:50 p.m. when a specialized police unit consisted of three officers saw three suspects that were wanted for an unknown reason.
When the officers attempted to make contact with the suspects, the suspects ran away. According to reports, one of the suspects, Sirluv Boyd, reached for a weapon and pointed it at the officers. One of the officers then shot at Boyd, injuring him. Boyd was taken to the hospital to undergo surgery. He is listed in stable condition.The other two suspects are in police custody. Boyd’s bond was set at $50,000, cash-only.
