ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Three suspects were in custody and another on the loose after burglarizing two homes and leading police on a chase in north St. Louis on Wednesday.

Authorities said the four suspects broke into a home on Bischoff on The Hill.

According to police, the homeowner scared the men away. She gave police a license plate number and description of the vehicle.

Authorities said minutes later the suspects entered a house in the 1300 block of Louisville and stole a flat-screen TV.

Police said they spotted the suspects’ vehicle on Interstate 70 and followed the suspects to the 5900 of Lillian near Mimika. That’s when the suspects got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

Police said one of the suspects pointed a gun at police. One of the officers then fired at the suspect in self defense, causing the suspect to drop his weapon.

Three of the four suspects were taken into custody. The fourth suspect remains at large.

No injuries were reported.

Police said they recovered three handguns and the television at the scene.
