ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV)—A man was shot during an alleged drug deal that turned violent early Wednesday morning in west St. Louis.
Police said two females, ages 25 and 24, were meeting a 43-year-old man for an alleged drug transaction at the 5200 block of Enright.
The victims tell police, a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and the suspects inside shot at them. The 43-year-old man was struck in the left calf. The two women, who were in a vehicle, were able to escape injury as they sped away from the scene.
Authorities said the female victims made it to South County before an officer pulled them over for a routine traffic stop. At that time, the officer noticed the car had multiple bullet holes. The women then told the officer what happened.
The male victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
