EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Police responded to a quadruple shooting in East St. Louis Monday evening.
The shooting happened in the 1200 block of 42nd street just before 6 pm. Investigators are working to determine what happened in the incident.
One of the victims was 68-year-old woman who was driving home at the time of the incident and was shot in her car as she went through the intersection. The other three victims were shot in the home as they sat watching TV. Police do not believe the home was the shooter's intended target.
The extent of injuries is unknown at this time, but three victims- the woman and two males- were taken to an area hospital, and the third male was treated on scene.
Police say they have no suspects at this time. News 4 will bring you more as the story develops.
