Area businesses and local law enforcement prepping for World Series

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Cardinals fans are waiting and hoping, business owners are busy getting ready now.

The owner of Best Limousines is one of many companies that can’t simply wait to see who wins.

If the Cardinals win, the World Series would open in St. Louis on Wednesday.

Many services are already taking orders.

“We have about 20 vehicles on hold for Major League Baseball,” said Debbie Rudawsky of  Best Transportation. “We have 20 more on hold for others; but really, tomorrow morning is when it will really start popping.”

Things will only start popping if the cardinals are popping Champagne tonight. Security is also a big concern for the series.

St. Louis City and County police already have an area-wide task force in place.  That will provide extra security in and around the city if the series is at Busch.
