She said Chris told her he was delivering divorce papers to Sheri on May 5th, which is the day the family was murdered. She also claimed they had exchanged "promise" rings and admitted she was still wearing hers in court Thursday.
She said they had discussed marriage, but not until there was a divorce.
Tara and Chris had planned a cruise together in June of 2009.
Prosecutors claim Coleman and Tara Lintz were having an affair since November of 2008 and planned on getting married.
They say Coleman told Lintz he would be filing for divorce on May 5, 2009. That’s the same day Sheri Coleman and their two sons were found dead in their Columbia, Illinois home.
Lintz and Sheri Coleman were high school friends.
Members of the jury were shown three videos found on Coleman’s laptop. One of the videos shows Coleman and Lintz naked on a trip to Hawaii.
In one video Coleman is heard telling Lintz that he loves her and can’t wait to see her in Hawaii.
The jury was also shown about a dozen photos found on both cell phones, including pictures of each naked, and the two kissing.
The jury was not shown a large sum of nude pictures, which an expert described as numbering in the hundreds.
Prosecution is using the photos and videos as evidence because Coleman claims he was not having an affair with Lintz.
