EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) -- Investigators are seeking the public's help in pinpointing who shot and killed an unarmed security guard in East St. Louis.
Illinois State Police say 22-year-old Joshua Miller of East St. Louis was killed shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. His body was found inside a parked vehicle, and it appears he had been shot in the head.
Authorities say Miller was working as an unarmed security guard for KLM Security at a redevelopment project.
Anyone with information is asked to call the East St. Louis police or Illinois State Police.
