ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A new airline is adding St. Louis as a destination, but this one is designed for those with four legs and a tail.
Pet Airways of Delray Beach, Fla., is the nation's only airline designed specifically for pets. Officials at Lambert Airport in St. Louis say the airline is adding St. Louis to its network of 14 destinations.
Flights to and from Lambert will begin this summer.
Pet Airways began operations in 2009. Pets are continuously monitored by an in-flight pet attendant in a climate-controlled cabin.
