Police looking for suspect in St. Clair bank robbery

(KMOV)--Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday in St. Clair, Missouri.

The incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. at the Farmers & Merchants Bank on the 500 block of Main Street.

Authorities say the suspect displayed a note to the teller stating that he had a weapon and demanded cash. No weapon was displayed and no money was obtained by the suspect.

Witnesses told police that the suspect is white and had a tattoo on the right side of his neck depicting a diamond with an ivory covered cross in the center.  The suspect was wearing a black zip-up jacket with a white emblem on the right chest area, a white top, and a black stocking cap.  The suspect appears to be between 33 and 38 years old.   

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the suspected to contact the St. Clair Police Department or Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
