Police investigating Chesterfield hockey rink burglary

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KMOV) – Chesterfield police are searching for two burglars who stole thousands of dollars in cash from the Hardee’s Ice Rink in Chesterfield Valley on Sunday night.

Surveillance video shows two men, who had broken into a loading dock, entering the closed rink wearing ski masks and hoodies.  The burglars stole a safe with cash in it from the office and money from a change machine, but were unable to get money from the ATM.

“Granted he is wearing a ski mask and gloves, but there is some kind of design on his sweatshirt and if somebody recognizes it.  I would appreciate a call,” Detective Christopher Simpson said.

The incident is similar to an unsolved burglary at the rink a year ago.  The burglars had broken into a different door and were able to open the safe and the ATM during that burglary.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Chesterfield Police Department.
