(HockeyStL) -- According to Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock, defenseman Kent Huskins should be ready Tuesday if he’s needed. The 32-year-old veteran defenseman is ready to make his return after fracturing his ankle blocking a shot on October 28th.
The fracture required surgery which is one of the reasons he has been out so long. Huskins was arguably the Blues best defenseman before he injured his ankle, and the Blues are hoping he can continue where he left off in late October.
With Huskins back on the roster the Blues will have seven NHL defenseman that are healthy which means players will be forced to earn their spot in the lineup.
Ian Cole who has been on the Blues roster most of the season has been sent down to Peoria, and should remain there barring an injury.
