(KMOV)—A 21-year-old man is in stable condition after getting shot in north St. Louis early Saturday morning.
Just after 2 a.m. the victim was standing outside on the 5900 block of Martin Luther King Drive talking with another person when he heard gunfire.
Police say the victim begins to run when he realized he had been shot in the ankle.
He was taken to an area hospital where he is stable.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are investigating.
