(KMOV.com) -- Police said a driver lost control of his vehicle and ran into a metal building in north St. Louis Friday morning.
Captain Sutter with the St. Louis Fire Department said a motorist lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of Parnell and Montomery streets. The vehicle left the roadway, hit a fire hydrant and a stop sign before slamming into a building.
The building has corrugated metal siding. The siding buckled during the accident and the car entered the building.
It is not clear how much damage the car suffered, but the building was left with a car-sized hole on one side.
It appeared the building was vacant. The adult male driver refused medical treatment.
