(KMOV) -- A part of Interstate 70 was closed late Thursday night following a fatal accident where a car rolled and ejected a passenger.
The single vehicle accident happened around 11:00 p.m. on westbound I-70, just before the Salisbury exit.
Police said the driver of the vehicle lost control and the vehicle rolled. A 22-year-old woman was ejected from the car during the accident. She died at the scene.
Her mother, who was driving, was rushed to the hospital with minor injuries. Police said the mother will be charged, but did not say what those charges would be.
The interstate has reopened and traffic is moving normally.
The cause of the accident is not known at this time.
