(KMOV) -- The Fox Theatre box office has been boarded up after it sustained damage in a Wednesday morning accident where an SUV veered off the road and hit the building.
Authorities report the accident happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 500 block of North Grand Boulevard. The Fox Theatre box office sits just north of the main theater entrance, but is still attached to the theater's central building.
A brick column was damaged and a window was shattered in the accident, but the theater itself did not sustain any damage. The damage was not structural.
Two SUVs were at the scene, the one that hit the box office and the another was on the street. The SUV on the street had suffered damage as well, but it is not clear how the second SUV was involved.
Authorities have not determined what caused the driver to lose control of the SUV and leave the roadway.
A woman was transported to an area hospital with what appeared to be a lower body injury. No pedestrians were hit.
A construction crew worked later Wednesday morning to repair the broken window. The box office opened at regular time and representatives said they do not anticipate any lapse in service for theater goers.
