(KMOV.com) -- A home in O'Fallon, Missouri is considered to be a total loss after it caught fire Tuesday morning.
Crews from at least three fire departments responded to a home in the 600 block of Castlebrook Drive around 9:43 a.m. after 9-1-1 received over 20 calls reporting a large house fire. According to reports, fire had fully engulfed the house by the time firefighters got to the scene.
Fire officials said nobody was home when the fire started. Three dogs were in the home, but they escaped on their own. The house suffered extensive and irreparable damage.
Investigators are now trying to determine how the fire started.
