Man facing murder charges after opening fire at gas station

(KMOV)—St. Louis County Police have charged an Overland man for shooting another man to death in the City of Breckenridge Hills in October.

Authorities charged Darrion Landrum, 23, with 2nd Degree Murder, 1st degree Assault, and Armed Criminal Action after he allegedly shot two men at the Quick Shop parking lot on Woodson Road in October, 2011.

According to reports, Landrum, Jay Pearson, 23, and Kelvin Jackson, 25, got into a fight outside the gas station around 10 p.m.  During the argument,  police said Landrum shot Pearson and Jackson. The two victims were known to Landrum before the shooting.

Jackson was taken to an area hospital, he survived. Pearson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Landrum was also charged with 2nd Degree Murder for the shooting death of an UMSL student on January 20, 2012.

Landrum is being held on a $500,000 bond.
