(KMOV.com) -- According to a report from the New York Times, there's a good chance you are reading this story while on the toilet.
The New York Times reports that a recent survey polled 1,000 mobile phone-owning Americans and discovered that 75 percent of them admit to using their phone while on the can.
The most shocking results were found in the 28 to 35 age group. In that age group, 91 percent admit to using their cell phone on the toilet and 16 percent admit to making retail purchases. It gets better though. According to the Times' article, 63 percent or Americans have answered calls, 41 percent have called someone and 20 percent of the males surveyed have joined a conference call.
With the emergence of cell phone technology and the fact they are becoming more functional, it is not surprising to see people using them everywhere; not excluding the bathroom.
