DAYTON, Ohio – A 37-year-old Dayton, Ohio man was pronounced dead before coming back to life 45 minutes later.

Tony Yahle, pronounced dead after 45 minutes with no heartbeat, did something even his own doctors can’t explain. He was revived.

“I’ve never seen anybody who we have pronounced dead come back,” said Dr. Raja Nazir.

In the middle of the night on Aug. 5, Yahle’s wife, Melissa, noticed him breathing strangely. She checked his pulse and tried to wake him, but did not get a response. In a panic, she called 911. He was rushed to the hospital.

Later that afternoon, Yahle’s heart went into a fatal arrhythmia. Then his heart stopped for 45 minutes. Doctors and nurses went into overdrive trying to stimulate his heart, but nothing worked.

Presuming they were unsuccessful, his doctor pronounced him dead, told the family, and allowed them to see his apparent lifeless body.

Yahle’s 17-year-old son, Lawrence, was in disbelief.

“I pointed at him and said, ‘Dad, you’re not going to die today,’” said Lawrence.

And he was right. Within moments his heartbeat came back, suddenly showing signs of life.

“It went from hopeless to hope in an instant,” said Lawrence.

After five days in a coma, Yahle came to with no recollection of how he cheated death.

The Ohio family said they witnessed nothing short of a miracle and the husband and father of three said he’s perfectly fine.

“I’ve really shared this experience with a lot of my colleagues, and none of them have ever really heard of this,” said Dr. Nazir.
