(KMOV) – Authorities have filed charges against a man accused of throwing a woman out of a moving vehicle on Interstate 64 on Friday.
David Sheridan, 46, was charged Monday with fist-degree domestic assault, third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
According to police, Sheridan was driving eastbound on Interstate 64 just before midnight when he threw a 46-year-old woman out of the car.
Police said Sheridan continued driving eastbound but returned to the scene on foot just before officers arrived.
Authorities said as officers approached, Sheridan became belligerent and did not listen to their orders.
He was arrested at the scene and taken into custody on a $30,000 cash-only bond.
The victim suffered multiple injuries and was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
