(KMOV.com) -- St. Louis Police reported another violent night throughout the city that included ten shooting victims and four victims of stabbings in nine different violent incidents taking place from Saturday morning through Sunday.
The first incident happened Saturday as a victim and suspect who knew each other got into an argument when the 48-year-old white male grabbed a knife from his pocket and stabbed the 60-year-old black male in the leg, according to police. The altercation happened in the 3300 block of Missouri at 10:50 a.m. Saturday.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Police said another stabbing happened in the 3500 block of Morganford on Saturday at 1:35 p.m. Police said the 21-year-old female victim stated she was involved in an argument with several other females when one of them cut her arm.
A weapon was not recovered by police, but 13 arrests were made for General Peace Disturbance, officials said. The victim was transported to the hospital. Her condition was not listed.
A third stabbing happened around 5 p.m. Saturday when police reported the 51-year-old male victim was sitting on a park bench in the 7700 block of S. Broadway when an unknown suspect cut the victim’s hand.
Police said the victim refused to provide a description of the suspect or anything in connection with the incident. Police said he also refused any medical attention. The investigation is ongoing.
A final stabbing happened on Saturday when police reported a victim was walking along Chouteau and S. 14th Streets when three suspects approached him and knocked him to the ground.
Police said one of the suspects reached into the victim’s pocket, a 41-year-old male, taking his money. Police said there was a struggle when one of the suspects displayed a knife and cut the victim’s wrist. The victim was transported to the hospital.
Five different shooting incidents happened within the same time period over the weekend.
The first incident happened Saturday night just before 9 p.m. According to police, officers found a security guard assisting a victim shot in the shoulder.
Police stated the victim would not cooperate at the scene, but the security officer provided information. He told police he heard about four gun shots coming from the south. He said he saw the victim running from the direction of S. 9th Street and Chouteau when he sought help from the guard.
Police said the victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Another three shooting incidents were reported happening within twenty minutes of each other.
St. Louis Police said a 42-year-old suspect fired multiple shots after an argument in the 5900 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard around 1:20 a.m. Police said the suspect took the gun from a vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene in that vehicle.
A vehicle matching the description was spotted by police who then took the suspect into custody.
Two suspects were treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds and released. Both victims were 18-years-old.
Another shooting incident happened ten minutes later in the 3100 block of Olive. Officers were working secondary at the Loft Night Club when they heard gunshots coming from a nearby gas station. Officers arrived at the BP gas station and found one victim shot in the calf. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
As police were interviewing witnesses to the incident, they reported the 27-year-old male suspect returned to the scene and was arrested. Three other victims were transported to the hospital by unknown people, all in stable condition.
The third incident happened in the 2500 block of Union around 1:40 a.m. Sunday. Police said the two victims were walking to their vehicle and heard several gunshots.
Police said the first victim, a 21-year-old male, felt pain in his back and saw that the second victim, a 34-year-old male, was also hurt. Police said neither victim knew where the gunshots came from, but believe it was a passing vehicle.
The victims drove themselves to the hospital, according to police. The first victim was released while the second victim suffered wounds to his foot and hip. Police said he is in serious, but stable condition and was uncooperative in the investigation.
The latest incident happened just before 5 a.m. Sunday in the 4500 block of Garfield.
Police reported a victim was parking his vehicle when an unknown suspect or suspects began shooting, hitting the victim multiple times. Then, police said, the victim drove himself to a local gas station on Martin Luther King Boulevard where the employees called police.
The 32-year-old victim is listed in critical, but stable condition. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
