(KMOV) – An Oakville man coming home from a municipal court hearing is now facing his third driving while intoxicated charge after allegedly being pulled over drunk by Creve Coeur Police on July 31.
Eddie Lee Spencer III, 37, of the 4400 block of El Paulo Court in Oakville, was charged August 1 with a DWI as a persistent offender, police said.
According to police, Spencer was pulled over at 7:30 p.m. on July 31 driving with a revoked license. Police said Spencer displayed problems with his balance and speech, and performed poorly on a sobriety test.
Officers said Spencer was at a municipal court hearing prior being stopped by police and repeatedly yelled that he would not go to court again.
Spencer is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center.
If released, officers say he will be required to wear an alcohol-monitoring device.
Bail was set at $50,000.
