Ballwin man accused of sexually assaulting nursing home residents

(KMOV) – A West County man faces charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted two nursing home residents in Ellisville.

Walter Javier Martinez, 44, of Ballwin, was charged August 1 with two felony counts of deviate sexual assault between November 1, 2012 and January 16, 2013.

According to police, Martinez fondled two elderly clients while bathing them.  One of the incidents reportedly occured at the Bethesda Meadow nursing home located on 322 Old State Road in Ellisville. The other assault allegedly happened at a nursing facility in Chesterfield.

Sgt. Nancy Walker, a spokesperson for the Ellisville Police Department, said Martinez was not an employee of Bethesda Meadow but was employed by an outside medical care provider.

Martinez was released Friday from St. Louis County Jail after posting $5,000 of a $50,000 bond.
