(KMOV) – Police are investigating after suspects broke into multiple vehicles in two separate areas in downtown St. Louis overnight.
According to police, three vehicles were broken into near the intersection of Clark and Jefferson around 1:34 a.m.
Then, two blocks away in the 2300 block of Chestnut--and just minutes later--a witness reported seeing four males breaking into a car. The witness told police he saw the suspects get into a dark sedan and drive away.
While police could not confirm whether the two crime scenes were connected, about 15 minutes after the break-ins, a car fitting that same description sped away from police.
St. Louis police continue their investigations.
