(KMOV)—A program is now available to people who are struggling to pay their mortgage in Missouri.
The “Emergency Homeowners” Loan Program is administered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and offers up to a $50,000 interest-free forgivable loan or grant.
Applicants must be at least 90 days or more past due on their mortgage. The applicant must also have a decreased income where it is due to loss of employment, divorce or medical bills.
The deadline to apply for this loan program is Friday, July 22.
