(KMOV) – Two teens were shot Sunday night after a gunman drove through south St. Louis City and opened fire.
According to authorities, the shooting happened when the victims, both 19, were driving in the 600 block of Chouteau and suspects in a silver Pontiac Grand Prix began firing.
Officers say one victim, the driver, was hit in the arm and leg. He reportedly hit a police cruiser after he was shot, but the officer did not suffer any injuries. The victim then ran to the intersection of 7th and Hickory Streets where he met police for help. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The passenger of the vehicle was grazed in the neck. He refused medical treatment.
When officers were responding the call, a cruiser was struck by a vehicle that police believe may have been involved in the shooting.
No suspects have been taken into custody.
An investigation is underway.
